i agree with the above. i also agree with how this “friendzone” shit works both ways. simply put: if someone you are romantically interested in isn’t romantically interested in you, OH WELL. life goes on. you can’t say someone’s being “mean” or “rude” just by simply making a choice. i mean, sure, some girls and guys can be total assholes (i honestly believe girls CAN be assholes, too) in this type of situation, so yeah, if they handle it in a rude way, then it is rude. but the fact that someone simply is not interested doesn’t make them at fault. you can’t help liking them, you say? maybe they can’t help NOT liking you as more than a friend. it sucks, we’ve all been there, but like…suck it up as best you can and move on to something else that is just as great.

I agree with this so much. I used to have a friend who was very in to me and people kept bitching to me about how I was mean and shouldn’t hang out with him anymore etcetera, etcetera. Well, that’s very nice, I apparently can not be friends with guys, because they might turn out to like me as more than a friend and then I’m the bad guy. With me it even got to a point where I actually tried to like him, because I felt so bad about the whole situation. Which, ofcourse, only hurt him more, because I just didn’t like him. And people hated me even more.
